    Grace Potter and the Nocturnals

Anyone heard of them or seen them live? I saw them for the first time at a small bar in Ft Collins last year, and they blew my mind. They have a new album out, and they're pushing really hard promoting their new album, but definitely worth seeing live. I think their older albums are better, but they're making a good effort on making their new one make it big. Playing free in the QC soon:

    River Roots Live

Just saw them last night in Boulder and were, as messed up as expected in Boulder, amazingly good.

I saw Grace perform at a music industry convention in Boulder about 2 or 3 years ago. She was great, but I hear the live show with the full band is much better.

They opened for Taj Mahal here in town at Hoyt Sherman a few years back. That same year they were opening for Dave Matthews. That was the first time I have ever bought a CD at a show, love her voice.

I'd like to see her play solo. With her new album, she's just singing a lot more and spends less time behind the Hammond or a guitar. She's a fantastic player too, would like to see more of that.
