Ames - Water Okay for Shower/Toilets on Thursday AM

Felt this was worth its own thread since many of us in Ames are trying to figure out how to shower tomorrow for work/school.

The article says that Ames residents will get free gallons of water. I bet that idiot who bought 15+ 24 packs of water feels stupid now.

As long as the water wasn't visibly dirty and didn't stink why would that even really occur to people.

Won't have drinkable water until next Tuesday, but at least I can shower in the morning.

I stocked up on eight gallons of water at the Wal Mart in Boone for everyone in my four bedroom apartment and paid about six bucks. Other people were buying tons of bottled water and probably paid waaaay more for the same amount.
