Poll: Best away game to see live

If you were able to get two tickets to one ISU Football away game and a 4 night stay in the city's nicest hotel. Which game would you like it to be?

Feel free to explain your reasoning as well, do you want to see a game that you know we'll win. Do you want to see a close game even if we're likely to lose. Do you want to visit the city? Do you want to see the stadium?

    You tell me!

Texas, because Austin would be a lot of fun.

I chose Oklahoma because last year I was in Texas for the Big 12 Basketball Tourney and the Bowl Game. And I guess I'd like to see ISU match up at a huge heisman candidate

I want to go to Texas! I hear Austin is a fun town. I've been to Oklahoma and I'm already going to CU this fall. Texas A&M isn't on there, but I have heard those fans are really crazy and fun.

I would choose anywhere warm. Texas would be fun I think. Lots of fans, plenty of places to go and see and of course hot women with fake breastices. Ok they dont have to be fake.

I have a good friend who went to A&M last year and said the atmosphere was awesome. The Stadium is so sweet. Plus he got put up in a pretty nice hotel as well.

My vote is for Colorado because...that's where we are headed this fall! The wife, 2 friends of ours and of course myself. Driving out Wednesday afternoon and leaving Colorado Sunday afternoon.

We're staying in Denver because of course it has more to offer than Boulder and it's not too far away. I've always wanted to visit Colorado's stadium. Should be a blast!

I've already purchased my plane and game tickets for the Texas game. I'm pretty lucky to have a wife who demanded we spend the money and go to Austin this year. I guess I'm also lucky that my only expenses to see the Colorado game are the game tickets. Not so lucky that each home game costs so much to attend though.

isufan22--this will be my first trip to CU as well. I'll be staying in Westminster with a friend I met in Ames. She lives there now with her boyfriend. They go to a couple games each season in Boulder and say that it's a pretty good time, plus it's a beautiful atmosphere. I'm not leaving until Thursday after work and am coming home Sunday.

went to the Kansas game last year.....the game was bollocks of course....but I did become aquainted with Paul Rudd (anchorman/40 year old virgin...Kansas Alumn) who happened to be at the game....pretty cool guy.

overall...the atmosphere was fun....now Texas is my pick this year

I am heading down for the Texas game this year. I'ts one of those games where it will be a great time win or lose, because the expectations won't be too high. However if we do happen to pull it off, the fans that made the journey will go NUTS! Anybody have any hotel recommendations...area?

I chose Texas, well, because I'm going to go to the game this year! So since I'm spending the jack on it, it's my top choice. Partially b/c of seeing Austin and 6th Street also, as well as a big time stadium. Plus I want to see what a campus that spends $400 million on athletic facility upgrades looks like (see Omaha World Herald article).

I will be curious to see the new press box at Kinnick sometime as well as the improved south stands, which have to be better than the disaster-waiting-to happen old south stands they used to have, esp. considering the girth of the average Iowa fan.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Texas, because of the female scenery in Austin.

I would have to say Texas just because of the sheer atmosphere of it. Iowa would be great to see the rivalry but Texas because it's um, Texas.
