    Ames Flood 2010: Photo Gallery

I took my sports hat off and put the news cap on this morning. Been zipping around Ames to take photos of the flood. Here is a gallery with 36 pictures for you.

    A couple other notes:

Some people really are stranded at home today. I know for a fact that some members of the football team could not get to the Jacobson Building today. Other members of the team are sandbagging right now, in attempt to protect the Jake. Keep all in good thoughts today.

Thanks for those pics. It looks about 10 feet deep in some of those places!

Incredible. Meanwhile here in central Texas we haven't seen a drop of rain in almost 3 weeks.

Looks like the wife and I will be buying a chunk of the floor to help like they did in 1993.

Great stuff, Chris. You should throw some CF watermarks on those photos...

Re: Ames Flood 2010: Photo Gallery

Buildings that looked to be dealing with some flooding when I was there:

    Scheman
    Hilton
CY Stephens (they were pumping water out of the basement, but the aboveground water hadn't reached yet)
    Leid Rec
    MWL

We just got our cold water shut off at Bessey due to flooding..

Are any of the practice facilities not underwater? I saw that it mentioned that the Soccer facility is underwater, so does that mean that even the main floor at Lied is wet?

Leid's lot was completely flooded. I could see some sandbags, but I doubt they stopped much. I have some pics of it, that I can post later.
