That's what's wrong with soccer, if he would have dived(dove?) he would have got the penalty.

we need to learn how to act better (like that d-bag from ghana in our WC game). If we could fake injuries a little better like the rest of the world, we would be a lot better. Unfortunately we arent a bunch of ******* like other countries.

This. Soccer would never catch on here if we acted as bad as all the other countries. It is a fine line to walk, because there is a definitive advantage to throwing yourself on the ground, which is ****.

Wow. Nice header by Neymar in 29th minute. 1-0 Brazil

Quite the collision! Good call by the ref from my POV.

You make valid point, but the two teams who dive the most, France and Italy, were both knocked out in the group stage of the WC.

Agreed. It's a process and it's going to be a long process to get rid of these fakers.
Back in the 80s, it was really a "macho" sport. After 1990 World Cup, FIFA forbid tackles from behind as they can break players' legs. There's a fine line between protecting players and being deceived by players. That's why I don't like to watch Italian league anymore, the refs are too quick stopping the play compared to Premier League.
Plus, the press in the UK is much more vicious slamming the divers. Eduardo, a former Arsenal player, got his reputation ruined by the press just because he dived against the Celtics. Even Cristiano Ronaldo used to be brandished as crybaby.
