Whos all going to Boulder in November?

Just booked my tickets to probably the last Iowa State game in Boulder. Should be fun, and hopefully it doesn't end up like 2008!! Last ISU team to win at Colorado was Sage's 2000 squad.

Wear your cardinal and gold bib-overalls and eat a lot of charred meat at your tailgate.

It seems to make the Patagonia wearing hummus eaters VERY angry.

My wife and I plan to go, possibly up to 8 others coming with us. Send CU packing with their heads hanging low!

I'm curious to see if the Colorado fans are as bad as everyone says they are. I've really only had 1 instance where they were dumb. In 2005 CU fans were on the field at Jack Trice talking smack after the ISU win. Yea.

    Don't you have a car

Would be a really cheap drive if you split it amongst 4 people.

Re: Whos all going to Boulder in November?

I lived in Boulder from 1980 to 1988. I went to the Freedom Bowl in 1985 and loved the Buffs. A lot has changed.

Boulder is the antithesis of Ames. CU fans are arrogant, materialistic and shallow. They are the biggest poop-bags in the Big 12. I've been going to away games since I graduated from ISU and have yet to meet one jovial, kind Buff fan. It's a beautiful place, with a lot of beautiful people. I understand the gravity of this being the last game against a long time conference rival. I will miss visiting my ISU friends in the Denver area. It's really the only thing that made this trip compelling. The game, fans and gameday pageantry are pretty weak.

I've lived here since 1994 and have had ties to CU since 1984. You come out and I'll be happy to introduce you to a bunch of jovial and kind Buff fans.
That said, I'm not here to say they are great fans as there are too many that make the good ones look bad and there are a bunch of bad ones.

I would suggest waiting on tickets. There will be plenty available, so don't hurry. Send me an e-mail and I'm happy to give you some suggestions. lafester@comcast.net

    Pre-game Party

There is already a scheduled pre-game party at the Millenium Harvest House (walking distance to the stadium). More details to come.

Going on the Gridiron train trip, Thursday to Monday train ride. Was planning on going but when we found out it would be possibly be the last time to play at Boulder, solidified our plans.
