    Colorado Wind Storm

Anyone blow away? I lost 1 panel of my 6' privacy fence. A huge sustained wind came in about 7:30 pm last night. I thought the whole fence was going over. But it did stay up. Just the one panel blew out. I would estimate 70-80 mph wind.

    Re: Colorado Wind Storm

Was it enough of a wind to take care of them rowdy neighbors across the road?

Windy here to but not 70-80 mph bad. I had to reset our wireless router this morning because I think the wind messed something up. Works fine now though

    Wow, Nebraska must REALLY suck.

Seriously, I hope everyone over there is okay and that there wasn't too much damage. It's amazing how much destruction high winds can cause.

They have been quiet as of late. I have a theory that the guys that lived there were the boyfriends of the 4 girls who are actually on the lease. I believe those guys might not be there any longer since school is out of session. I think they may have went "home". It has been much quieter.

Fence is repaired, however, the word is the wind is supposed to be strong again this afternoon. I made some adjustments to prevent further failure.

Good to hear things are going better with the neighbors.

Wind is blowing a lot around here in West Des Moines, that is for sure.

    Re: Colorado Wind Storm

CyinCo- drove from boulder to golden this morning, and MAN it was nuts, thank goodness it was a slight tailwind... and I felt my condo shakin' last night during some gusts and thought my windows were going to blow out. I didn't seen many bikers or runners on the road this morning.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

I heard the recorded a 98 mph wind on Monarch Pass. I wouldn't want to be living the mountains this week. 6 inches of new snow possible. Stong winds. Temps in Aspen are only in the 30's.

The good news is that the weekend looks wonderful with 80s for highs.

    Re: Colorado Wind Storm

Its been a relatively calm morning here in Greeley until about 5 minutes ago. The North Wind just "started". Seriously. There was no wind and now there is 40 mph sustained with 50-60 gusts. I really hope this doesn't last all day.

I'm very concerned for my front yard tree. I haven't seen a tree bend this far an not break or tip.

Cripes! 6 in. of new snow? It's gonna be august before peak baggin' w/o winter gear! I find this year rather interesting weather wise... the "harsh" winter, late spring storms... but talking to long-time residents of CO, it seems this year was more like normal years of the past, prior to the drought we've had since the turn of the century (21st), much to the shock of the 10s of thousands who transplanted from warmer regions in the last 5-8 yrs.

    Re: Colorado Wind Storm

OK. This wind has to stop soon.

KUSA is reporting 92MPH in Boulder, 102MPH in Berthoud. Greeley only 60?? I swear I'm seeing higher than that but I don't have an anomometer to prove it.
