I was up far, far too late last night. I'm just too damn tired to come up with anything that even resembles a rational thought.

The fun banter we had yesterday while chatting of the promise of a new season has been replaced with that oh-so familiar pit in our stomachs of the ball that is about to be dropped.

Not to be a Debbie downer, but it feels like we take two steps forward and there is always that one step back. Life as a Cyclone... :(

Seriously, if this is a situation that is already known - then let's have it. Why all the waiting around? It's not going to change. Does anyone have any clue as to what is going on?

Rather than 2 steps forward and 1 back - it always feels like 1 step forward and 2 back.

how many times are we going to say "sunny road after trouble" before we realize that the sunny road is only a mirage - and that only more disappointment and trouble lie on the other side?

I'm not one to moan and groan, but it seems like a lot of people already know what's going on. What's the dealio?

Whatever it is, life goes on, but don't tell us something "really really bad" is about to happen and then tell us you can't tell us what it is. :)

Please, do NOT discuss or forecast what this potential issue is. It will be made public on this board once it can be confirmed and the powers that be authorize it's release.

there have been lot of athletic endeavors at ISU that have not been mirages and have been positive...and every program will have it's troubles...I feel for ya Helgo....as for me....there are far worse things going on in the world that I look at for depression.

middle east....global warming....Nancy's snack assault on her waistline....

Come on man. Don't act like we're the ones spreading rumors by posting speculative discussions.

Agreed Monkeybrow, but I sure don't expect negative news from Iowa State Athletics to continually add to the depression - it's supposed to help alleviate it.

The item should have never been brought up if it cannot be discussed. If you can't tell the meat of the story, none of the story should be told. There is no use getting everyone worked up until the problem is official.
