Good work. I think the only other potential guys would be Grant Mahoney, Rashawn Parker, and Leonard Johnson.

    I pondered Mahoney...

I want to see a healthy Parker...

Johnson probably would have been number 6 or 7 on my list based off of what I've heard regarding his awesome offseason. Good thoughts.

Actually 1-4 are pretty simple, no disputing that. I'd say Rashawn Parker is on the list. We need some leadership on the line. Alex Alvarez is pretty important.

Re: Your 5 most indispensable Cyclones?

I'd switch the freshman who we haven't seen yet extensively for LJ. It was bad enough that Kennard got taken to school all season last year, LJ did a great job locking down his side so the safeties could cheat towards KB.

Some more O-lineman wouldn't hurt either. KO protecting Arnaud's blind side is huge, and those guys were bulldozers for Arnaud and A-Rob last season.

    1. A-Rob
    2. Arnaud
    3. Lamaak
    4. KO
    5. Sims, LJ

I agree KO. You can't lose your blind side.

Re: Your 5 most indispensable Cyclones?

I agree, got to go with Osemele over Knott. The offense is going to have to carry the day this year, and I don't think you can point to anyone on the defense that THIS YEAR is irreplaceable, besides maybe Sims. Now, in 2 years do I think that Jake Knott and AJ Klein will be locks for this list? Yes, I think that's likely.

Center is the most important position on the field.

Re: Your 5 most indispensable Cyclones?

Brayden Burris isn't getting enough credit. Per Yancy this is what he has to say about Brayden

This is going to shock people, but there were a few times last year where he played at 260 pounds at right tackle in the Big 12, just because he is so a long. He’s 6’7”, he was a redshirt freshman last year and he is just a lean kid. Right now he’s 293 pounds and I think he finished the season last year right at 265. He has got good body weight now and he moves really well. This is probably going to make the rest of the offensive line pretty mad, but he is probably the best athlete in the group. For such a long guy he’s a strong kid. He’s a 300-plus power cleaner at 6’7”, jumps well and runs well. He’s dedicated himself. He gets up every morning and eats breakfast and makes his mandatory check-ins for breakfast. He’s been doing that since January and still does it to today. He is going to be a good player for us.
