    Sims repays Credit Card charges

Guess this is a good first step but isn't it kind of an admission of guilt too?

ya but if he is guilty then this may allow him to get a lesser charge or it may cause the judge to be more leniant. its better to fess up then try to lie and act like you didnt do it (i.e., Barry Bonds, Jose Conseco, Pete Rose, etc.)

Making reparations is key in his situation right now. I think it works in his favor.

THIS. I cannot stand when people only admit guilt once they have denied, denied, denied until the evidence is too much to overcome. Sounds like a situation where he made a mistake and is on the fast track to repaying his debt and rectifying his wrong. Great move, especially if he wants to be on the field and be a leader this year.

probably not but someone might ask the question why he would do it if he had enough to pay the balance now....why use the card at all then.

It was $600. Not that hard to come up with through legal, NCAA approved means.

This is very advantageous for Sims legally. As it stands, no one is out any money at this point in time. At this point in time it doesn't change the bad act, but any harm that was done has been rectified.

Because he is an idiot. Only possible explanation to use another persons credit card.

Because he was probably thinking, "why use my own money, when I can get it for free right here."
