    Your Cell Phone

What kind of cell phone does everyone have? Im stuck in the stone age with my razor, but I have been elligible for an upgrade for a while now.

I've been looking at the Droid. Seems like a great phone. GPS, DVD quality video, high speed internet. I found one at best buy.com for $99 yesterday, but now i can't find anything under $149. I was reccomended it by a guy who said i could buy 1 get 1 free at $99 at best buy. But i can't find that deal anywhere

    Check WalMart if you're Verizon.

Razor(at least the new version of it.)

I use mine for phone calls and some incoming text messages and that's about it. Just don't feel like paying more for all the extra features(my current plan is $39.95 per month for 1,000 minutes and unlimited night and weekend).

    Re: Your Cell Phone

I still use the "dumb" phone. I don't feel the need to have a smart phone. I stay in my office the entire day with access to internet and I have internet connection at home. So, I refuse to spend extra money as long as I can make and receive calls on my phone.

    Re: Your Cell Phone

If you're looking at the droid (and you like the qwerty slider type of device) you may want to wait a couple weeks, as the droid 2 is due to come out in august. The original droid is apparently no longer being manufactured, so if something goes wrong with your phone, you could have trouble getting it replaced with something as good as that Droid.

Asurion No Longer Replacing DROIDs for DROIDs, Production Stopped by Motorola - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

I'm getting an incredible, that should hopefully ship out early this week. Theyre almost through the backlog of orders.

    Re: Your Cell Phone

I bought the Motorola Droid late last year and love it. For me, having e-mail access on my phone is important because I am away from the office a lot.

The GPS/Google Maps on the Droid is awesome and there are quite a few other apps that I have found helpful as well.

    Re: Your Cell Phone

I love my droid (posting from it now). The GPS is great, voice search is sick and it syncs so well w google and facebook. But as mentioned earlier, I would probably wait and get the droid 2 when it drops.

It'll probably be similar to what verizon has done with other recent droids and have it at 199 with a 2 yr contract extension.

    Re: Your Cell Phone

I was with Sprint for years, until the CDMA vs IDEN network was going to force me to a consumer plan w/ Sprint or take a Nextel phone. As I told Customer Service, what you are telling me is that I should just switch to AT&T and get the iPhone I've wanted.

I may be biased but I love my iPhone, had it a year and a half (3GS) and I think it is the best "phone" I've had. I'm sure PC users like a lot of other things, but in my opinion the iPhone give you the most bang for you buck.

    Droid

If that is the phone you are getting, you are one lucky man. That phone sounds amazing.

    Re: Your Cell Phone

    I have the G'Zone Boulder:

which is waterproof and shockproof. I've had it for 2 years now and it is still kicking butt. It is a "dumb" phone though but at least I can take it to work (I'm a wetland/soil scientist) and hunting and fishing without a single worry.

I do plan to upgrade eventually with the G'Zone Brigade:

which is also water/shock proof but with added internet capability.
