Let 'em strike. Retro TV is showing reruns of Emergency! at 9:00 PM every night, and thus the world will be able to continue...

Given the "quality" of what's been on the air recently, static might be welcome.....

What was wrong with the writer's strike? Did everyone really miss them because of the delay in getting all those rehashed 70's and 80's movies on the big screen?

Weird... a union who wants to beg for more $ while doing less work...

I wish whoever is behind 95% of the reality tv shows would go away and strike...

Bring it on. I honestly didn't mind the writers strike at all. For people who primarily consume sports through television, the writer's strike had almost no effect. I hope they show some fortitude and tell them to walk.

    Excellent point.

This could coincide nicely with football season.

Is there really anyone actually paying attention to what she's saying anyway? I'm pretty sure her mic could be muted all the time and people would still think she's the best sideline reporter ESPN has to offer.

Re: "Worse than the writer's strike"...

The writers' strike has already happened, and reality TV is the result. This strike involves Hollywood the transportation workers' union. The guys whose vehicles bring all that studio equipment from site to site. I'd like to see what producers will do if they aren't able to transport all the equipment and props needed to make their shows. This strike would affect even reality TV. Maybe we'll see more sports like what was shown during the early days of ESPN?

I wonder if they realize we are in a recession, and there are probably 20 people lined up to take every job the teamsters are doing.
