Mark Ellis joining Askren in the MMA

I'd rather see him as an Olympic champion, but could you imagine Varner trying this someday?

Also, How would Z do in MMA? He's in better shape than Ellis.

Z's kind of in no man's land regarding weight class. He was a rather light heavyweight wasn't he? 205 for light heavy's and then a max of 265 for heavy's. MMA does seem to be an increasingly legitimate way for wrestlers to continue competing .

You can make a lot more money in MMA than olympic wrestling.

Yeah, you can't really fault guys for wanting to actually make some money with their grappling. For guys that want to continue wrestling post college the two options are basically either coaching or MMA.
