Tenure denial was about $$$, not ID

Gonzales' tenure denial appears to be because he can't or won't bring in grant dollars. Paltry sum. He says he publishes alot and that's more important. I'd say the tenure decision is more about money than his anti science beliefs.

This would be a good item for Deace to jump on. It was all about Dollars for the school.

It is the Real Truth. It was all about $$$. The school must be a business after all, just like football.

Now I know you do not get much for publishing, so it may be a sound theory that the professor did not play ball with the univeristy.

Guess he will have to go work at EIU where they like to produce novelists.

    Yep. That sounds 'bout right.

Teaching is all about, in the following order:

    1. REVENUE CREATED

    2. Glory brought upon the University by awards

    3. Publishing

    And way

    way

    way

    way

    way down there

I can accept the decision for what it is, if it is revenue based. On a related note, where do you think the research grants for climate change are going to? Does anyone think money, and the source of that money has anything to do with that?

Re: Tenure denial was about $$$, not ID

Michael Chrichton wrote a paper on that very subject. Maybe I can find it somewhere. Basically, he asks the question on whether studies supporting human caused climate change attract money, or whether money is attracting studies supporting human caused climate change.

It's an interesting and refreshing question, that is a breath of fresh air in contrast to the "spittle-flying" screed that gets put out on the "pro" side of the human caused climate change folks.
