Weird encounter with girl at World Market

Girlfriend(picture Rachel McAdams, only hotter) and I were at World Market last week. As we were looking at some crap, some girl walking by asked my girlfriend if she was from Minnesota(had Twins sweatpants on)and started a conversation with her. Her name was Abby, she claimed she went to Iowa and they talked about their majors and current occupations. I stayed out of it, then towards the end of their discussions they exchanged emails and facebook.

She then asked me what my name was and what school I attended. I told her my major and area of work, she then told me her husband was in the same line of work and just started his own company. She asked if I would be interested in some extra cash working only 5-10 hours a week(became suspicious), I said possibly just to be nice even though I didn't have much interest and she took my phone number and said she would give it to her husband.

No pic of girl, but she was a nicely dressed young tall dorky looking girl with blonde hair. Not really a girl you would be suspicious of, but I told my GF the whole conversation was weird and I felt like she had an ulterior motive for what she was doing.

Anyways, he called me today and told me what it was about. It had nothing to do with what I majored in or my current field of work. According to him, it involves web marketing for companies like Scheels, Younkers, Kohls, etc. etc. I told him I was not interested but he said he would still email me a video(never opened) for more information and that he would reserve a seat for me at West Des Moines Sheraton hotel this Tuesday night.

So what is this? Some kind of pyramid scheme?

I went through something very similar about a year ago. Yeah, it's basically a pyramid scheme. Nothing malicious, just preying on stupid/gullible people. A friend of mine got into it and worked his way up one level- there's money there, but it's not worth the trouble. Do yourself a favor and just ignore all communication. Watch the video if you want, but it will tell you essentially nothing; it's intentionally vague and slick.

    True and Valiant

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

You obviously already have your mind made up that it's a messed up situation. Any more obvious and they'd have to throw up the Bat signal.

My friend, do not go to that hotel. You will wake up in a bathtub full of ice, and your kidneys will be missing.
