    Harder Transition for a QB?

Which do you think is a harder transition to succeed in?

Going from a High School starter to a College(D1) starter?

    or

Going from a College starter to a starter in the NFL?

The latter, because your ego is already that much higher, and then an offensive coordinator slaps down a 1,000 page playbook. the rookie nfl QB is a fish in a small pond with LOTS of big fish

Thats what I was thinking. You see a lot more freshman QB's do better than NFL rookies. Granted there are about 90 more teams.

I will say going from college to the NFL, but that varies depending on what college the QB played for. Guys like Matt Leinart, who are surrounded by gobs of talent in college, usually have all day to sit in the pocket, and never have to progress farther than their 1st or 2nd read to find an open receiver. These guys tend to struggle in the NFL because it's a drastic change for them.

On the other hand, QBs like Roethlisburger (how the heck do you spell that?), Cutler, etc. didn't have the luxury of 5-star O-linemen and receivers, and quite often played higher levels of competition with lesser personnel on their side. These guys seem to pick up the NFL game much sooner.
