Need some help burning a news story onto a dvd

The company I work for was the subject of a story on KCCI last Thursday. Can anyone help me burn it on to a DVD. My laptop has the capability to burn DVD's but I have no idea where to start. I can get it done locally for $65 but if I can do it myself I will. Here is a link to the story. Iowa-Made Pins Helps In Oil Fight - Video - KCCI Des Moines

    What OS do you have?

I had Vista Home Premium and now have Win 7 Home - both of which have microsoft movie maker - and that's what I use.

And where did you record the program? on you laptop, DVR?

Edit: You want to record straight from the KCCI site? I'm not sure if you can - maybe contact KCCI.

First, I would imagine you need to get permission from KCCI to copy that and reproduce. Then, either they need to send you the video in a format you can burn to DVD or you need to record it to your PC in a format you can burn.

I do not have a recording, just what is on the site. KCCI has no problem with me using it and told me about the "Put it on video" service for $65

The OS's I mentioned have tv recording as part of the media console, and I have a tv tuner in the pc. After that, the movie maker would be a great tool to edit and burn the dvd.

Not sure how you would get the media recored/downloaded however.

You are first going to have to some how capture the streaming video to save it to your computer. Then it might need converted and then just burned to a disc. Here is a link that I found that has a few options for capturing streaming video.
