    MLB - Future's Game

On now on ESPN2... anyone watching?

    US vs. World prospects. Rosters:
    2010 All-Star Game: Futures Game rosters | MLB.com: Events

Some players sure to be promoted to the majors within the next year... representatives from Cubs, Royals, Twins, ChiSOX, Cards, etc.

I'm watching to see the no. 6 prospect Julio Teheran (RHP, ATL) pitch. and LHP Mike Minor, also w/ the Braves

Sox have no reps. Hudson was supposed to but started against the Royals.

Hosmer 3-3 with a RBI and Run scored.
Moustakas 0-3 but has looked good defensively. Supposedly moving up to AAA after the game.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

Mike Trout who was playing with the Kernels until Friday when he got promoted to high A rancho cucumngo (spelling?) is playing in it. I just tuned in so I don't know if he has played yet or not.

I don't understand the need to move him up from AA inless the league where he is and would be playing are completely different.

I think they said he's been crushing the ball in AA. So, the next step is AAA.

Selfish fantasy: Braves trade pitching depth for Moustakas to back up Chipper if he decides to retire after the season. They have no suitable back up in the minors, and I don't like the free agents after the season.

Would you trade Tommy Hanson for Moustakas?

    I wouldn't.

Off the top of my head, being internet msg board GM, I would trade:
    D. Lowe + minor prospects
    K. Kawakami + minor prospects
Randall Delgado (minor league pitcher w/ high ceiling) + minor prospects
Zeke Spruill, Bret DeVall + lots of prospects
    etc...

The Royals would not want Lowe at all, or any of the deals. In their current position the last thing they would ever do is give up Moose for a veteran pitcher with a big contract. MM is a Top 10 prospect and a huge cornerstone for their future, the deal would have to make sense for the Royals too to make it.
