    Swimming pool liner

    I just bought a house with an above ground pool. I've tried to fill twice and linner keeps pulling loose. The liner goes over the side wall and then a plastic u channel clips over it, followed by a metal u channel and lastley the top rail. Anyone know of any tips or trickes to use? (It is large pool 10 X 26 ft)

    need to have some overlap of 2" As water is added it will expand out.

    If the liner is used and was allowed to dry out, your only option is to buy a new one. You are supposed to leave water in most above-ground pools year round and, if not, these liners shrink appreciably. You should be able to get a new liner for less than $200.

    this-100%. also, when filling pool with new liner, leave all the railings on until you get a good amount of water in the pool-say around 6-12 inches. once you have that much water in the liner, then disassemble the top rail, metal and plastic channels. then overlap your liner, and reassemble plastic, metal and top rails.

    what i did was to stretch the liner over the top rail so we didn't even have to hold it up as the pool filled-but beware and make sure you have the liner going VERY square to the pool frame as failure to do so will create a nightmare.

    i just googled cheap pool liners when i got mine and spent $100 for an 18X36 liner with a nice rock/pepple pattern to it. i like the pattern0it hides a little of the dirt/debris.
