    Swimming pool liner

I just bought a house with an above ground pool. I've tried to fill twice and linner keeps pulling loose. The liner goes over the side wall and then a plastic u channel clips over it, followed by a metal u channel and lastley the top rail. Anyone know of any tips or trickes to use? (It is large pool 10 X 26 ft)

need to have some overlap of 2" As water is added it will expand out.

    Re: Swimming pool liner

If the liner is used and was allowed to dry out, your only option is to buy a new one. You are supposed to leave water in most above-ground pools year round and, if not, these liners shrink appreciably. You should be able to get a new liner for less than $200.

this-100%. also, when filling pool with new liner, leave all the railings on until you get a good amount of water in the pool-say around 6-12 inches. once you have that much water in the liner, then disassemble the top rail, metal and plastic channels. then overlap your liner, and reassemble plastic, metal and top rails.

what i did was to stretch the liner over the top rail so we didn't even have to hold it up as the pool filled-but beware and make sure you have the liner going VERY square to the pool frame as failure to do so will create a nightmare.

i just googled cheap pool liners when i got mine and spent $100 for an 18X36 liner with a nice rock/pepple pattern to it. i like the pattern0it hides a little of the dirt/debris.
