    N. Illinios and the Cyclone Transfer

The Huskies will be handing the ball to a former Cyclone (242lb. TB from Round Rock, Texas) on the night of our home-opener on Sept 2nd..... Cameron Bell. Question: Is our defense going to be facing an angry, super-motivated, ******-off, former teammate with a chip on his shoulder and a point to prove..... or not? If he could not break the 4 deep at RB as ISU was he really that good of a RB? It doesnt look like he is even the starter for NI.

Didn't we use Cameron as a Line Backer or Defensive back when he played for us? I think part of the reason he transfered was because he wanted to play running back.

Bring him on, if he couldn't break in at running back, why should we be concerned?

I wouldn't be too concerned if he is the one running the ball for them on opening night. There is a reason the coaches converted him to a linebacker here.

He is a down hill runner whose style didn't match our offense, I wouldn't write him off as a non-threat based on those facts.

That was the reason he transfered, but he did have a shot at playing RB.

staff switched him to linebacker... hes a decent athlete, i wouldnt start shaking... hes not going to play harder against us then anybody else. thats overrated. he plays his best every game im sure, or at least tries to. NI is good, ISU is better, we win.

Can't fault ISU's logic with ARob as our man.

As CW keeps saying, we cannot overlook NI. They will be tough, whether its with Cam Bell or someone else running the ball. As we all know, our schedule is so freaking tough this year that we CANNOT overlook NI. Its a must-win right off the bat.

What makes you think we overlook anybody after the last 5 years?

This is a great point. If we're looking ahead to the Iowa game the following week, the NI game will bite us in the ***.

Fans are the only ones that overlook teams. The players know that they aren't that much better than anyone on our schedule that they can just sleepwalk to a win.

Re: N. Illinios and the Cyclone Transfer

I remember one of DMac's teams completely dominating NIU until the last 5 minutes of the game, where they gave up a kick return and a long run to make the game really close. That would be a good game to have the players watch to understand the need to stay focused.
