That's the part of the state that needs the rain the least.
feel free to click on any area and zoom in multiple times. click your wheel to return to normal size. Also, once you have zoomed, you can left click and drag the map around. ...not to mention... once you have zoomed in... you can turn on/off the topo... add or delete the rivers... set the speed of the storm... (it is a pretty cool site)

Is this going to effect the flooding in the Des Moines area much at all? I had heard that for flooding to be a continued threat, the majority of the rain would have to be up to our northwest in the Raccoon and Des Moines River basins. Most of it looks like it's going to our southeast.
I have a question. How come in those weather maps, there are always the same spots on the map that always show showers by them. They appear to be areas where there is a weather radar, but why does it always show rain in these areas?
