    Iowa Mr. Basketball

A little trivia...I know this will likely be easy, but it's interesting nonetheless (at least to me!).

Who is the last former Iowa Mr. Basketball to play for ISU?

    No Googling...

Did Clayton Vette ever play for ISU?

    Re: Iowa Mr. Basketball

It is, in fact, Fred Hoiberg.

I couldn't believe we hadn't snagged any other more recent winners of the award. (Vette doesn't count).

Iowa has had 6 Mr. Basketballs since in the time period since Freddie.

I also find it interesting that next year we'll have two Wisconsin Mr. Basketballs on the roster, and I believe DG was a runner up in that state.

I think it was Freddie. I think. There was that Vette kid, but I don't think he ever played here. Or did he?

How does Vette not count? Didn't he play for awhile for ISU?

You're right, he should count. At first, I thought he only played in exhibition games.

He was pretty forgettable here though!

You shouldn't count if you get "home sick" from being 2 hours away from your hometown, lol.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

I'm almost positive he did, unless it was just in an exhibition game.

Is that sarcasm since I messed it up? If so, it's deserved!
