    Anyone in DSM area. Question

    what the crap are these pintcher bug things. They are black and have little pintchers on the front of them. THey are all over the Des Moines area and they are creapy. How do you get rid of them?


    Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

    Think they're called earwigs, I believe. An exterminator might be the way to go, I guess.

    I've yet to see any of these.
    I did go home for a visit to Northwest Iowa and they have gnats that are out of control.

    They will go into hiding now for a couple years after the season. There were alot in Okoboji this weekend, and they came on heavy in Janesville,WI when I lived there. You can usually just wait em out. Just keep places of your house from being damp, they love those spaces.

    I just figured it out. There is a LinkBack option above the thread. Click that, then click on the paperclip linkback option. It may ask you to allow pop-ups, but it will give you the link to copy. Then go to your thread and hit the World icon in your reply, paste the link from your clipboard.
