    Pet Peeves

My pet peeve that has been irritating me more than any other lately is guys who wear scarves and think they look cool. They call them doo-rags or whatever, but you can't fool me. I know what a scarf is. A lot of them wear cutoff T-shirts to show their really flabby arms too. One of these days, I'm going to go up to one of these guys and say "nice scarf, Sheila," and dare him to do anything about it. He'd probably wet himself. A scarf-wearer is definitely compensating for something.

And if anyone reading this wears a scarf, you're a noodge, too.

    Re: Pet Peeves

the only time a scarf is acceptable is a US Soccer scarf and that is just to be worn around the neck loosely, and only during games.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

    Re: Pet Peeves

I saw Damion Staple wearing a checkered table cloth around his neck at Liars Club in Des Moines about a year ago. I still haven't figured that out yet.

And when people say "I could care less". If you're going to use that term, use it correctly. It's 'I couldn't care less".

    Re: Pet Peeves

Cars that stop in front of the doors at HyHvee, Walmart, etc to let people out, then they take forever to get out of the car, get their bowling ball bag sized purse, wrassle the kids out. The people that do this also usually look pretty unhealthy, and could use the walk across the lot.

    Re: Pet Peeves

Life's too short to worry about what other people are wearing. If wearing a bandana or scarf makes you happy, go for it. Just know that someone out there might be calling you a frenchie, or a 'noodge'.

It drives me up the wall when people smack their lips or the noise when styrofoam rubs together.

    (Hand-shaking situation.)
Typically, I dislike the "fist-bump." Especially when you barely know the person that is offering it to you. That feels weird. You have to earn your fist-bumping moments with me. "Dude, I just met you? I may not like you yet.........come on brah....(fist bump occurs because he is just holding it out there.)

You know what....I really hate the fist-bump.....it sucks.

But what if you truely could care less? If you say that you "could care less", that implies that you still have some "care" for the situation. You may be adding that you really don't care much for a situation, but it is entirely possible that you could care even less about the situation than you do at that particular time.

People that think they know the end game of a person's caring level when they really don't know the entire story is another pet peeve of mine, I guess.
