    Computer Help

My mom called today. After a recent windows update her pc rebooted and now asks for a password to login. She's never had a password before. There is no option to cancel out and get past it. Any suggestions?

If that doesn't work, what operating system does the computer have?

Which version of Windows does she use, XP SP2, XP SP3, Vista, or Win7?

You can try putting Administrator for the user and no password. Most likely wont work, but give it a shot.

    Re: Computer Help

Did she have auto login enabled? One of the recent security updates disable this feature IIRC. For my machine, I require a login to keep young eyes from seeing what they're not supposed to see when I'm not with them. Login as administrator and see if auto login can be re-enabled.

    rocks!

I recommend contacting your system administrator.
