    Scott Christopherson

Could Scott be a Fred Hoiberg typle of player? I know he probably wont be as good, but i was just sitting here thinking about it. Scott can shoot(Like Fred could) and he seems to drive and dish pretty well from what i've seen in the Cap City league. Scott also has some height(I think he is 6'3) and i think he will run well in the up-tempo system. I also hear that Coach Hoiberg is in love with Scotty's game. I'm just wondering if Hoiberg is going to mold Scott into something speical. I think Fred may see a little bit of himself in Scott when he was younger. Maybe i'm crazy, but that would be amazing.

    Re: Scott Christopherson

Watching Scott in that scrimmage before last year's Iowa game, you can see that he loves the uptempo thing. He was always looking to push the ball up the court the second it got to him. I think he can thrive in this sort of style (and he ought to end up with some open threes, which is always nice).

You could see a little bit of that in him last year when he started to create for himself later in the year. I don't think Scottie has near the strength and athleticism that Freddie had that really pushed him to the next level.

Hopefully Fred can help with this.

No, Fred was a phenomenal athlete that could dunk in traffic.
Haluska was close but still came up short. He could take over a game
SC may well end up being a very good player but Hoiberg was like
Ejim with a lights out jumper.

I hope so too. Another year in the weight room may do wonders for him. I definitely agree with the spirit of the original post, because I thought Scottie took some unwarranted criticism at times last year, and is very underrated going into this season.

    What's your point?
Mine's Hoiberg was far more athletic than SC.

I need to know what this official definition of athletic is. IMO you can be athletic in many different ways.

SC is incredibly underrated. Look at the last part of the season when he was somewhat healthy. He was very good. He was sick for half of the season and that is why most do not consider him to be one of "the" guys. People want to automatically throw DP into the tarting line up. I say not so fast my friend. If DP decides he doesn't want to play defense or doesn't want to hustle at times, SC will be the starter. He may be anyway. In no way am I saying either of those things could happen with DP, I am just saying he isn't walking into the gym and automatically taking Scotties spot. Scotty is really our only returning and proven pure shooter. I think he needs to play quite a bit if he doesn't start.

I think we'll see Phillips and Scotty on the floor at the same time alot this year.

Probably see a lot of 3 guard line-ups. I wouldn't doubt if we roll out 4 guards in some situations. Maybe we could make people adjust to our unique style for once.

With only 1 SF on the roster and Chris is predicting him to start at the 4
it's very likely we'll see a 3 guard lineup most of the time. SC needs to be
on the floor, he's the shooter that the defense has to respect.
