    Strange foods

The lion burger thread got me thinking about strange foods I've eaten or want to eat. This one's next on my list...it's roast guinea pig, and it's served at Chino Latino here in the Twin Cities. What are some strange foods you've eaten?

That makes me sad. I miss my Guinnea Pig, Ripley. Awesome pet.

I'm open to trying new foods. I would most likely eat that.

Was Ripley delicious? Is that why you miss him?

Yep... I've tried that. It's a traditional Incan meal and I tried it when I went to Peru. Although it didn't have the head and feet like your picture. It was OK... can't say I remember much about the taste except that my wife's spicy chicken meal was better.

I gotta say, that's not the most appetizing thing I have seen.

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.

    Re: Strange foods

frog legs suck-too much work for what you get.

fish roe is very good, rabbit is too stringy, bear is very greasy. buffalo and elk i prefer to beef. pheasant and deer are very good if cooked properly.

    Re: Strange foods

I always like to say that "I'll eat anything".

I'd like to now retract that statement.

Braunschweiger is the weirdest thing I've ever eaten. And I think I would like to keep it that way.
