    Marine Grills

I'm looking at Fathers Day gifts (I know, I procrastinated). Are any of you who are boaters, or who know people who have a Marine Grill that mounts to your boat?

Trying to get some feedback on how good they work and what I should be looking at when purchasing.

Marine ones are crazy expensive for what you get. Most I've found at Bass Pro etc. are over 150 bucks, they are nice though.

I am building one right now using a tailgating gas grill that will mount off of the railing. Not hard to do.

Are you looking for a ski boat or pontoon. I am building for our pontoon which is ten times easier than building one for a ski boat.

Its for a house boat. I would assume my dad would mount it around the railing on the lower deck of the boat.

Also noticed that they seemed crazy expensive, especially for the size, that is why I was asking if it was worth it. It seems like if I get the Kuuma brand, plus the mounts and a cover, it will run around $250...

    Re: Marine Grills

I bought the Magma at Bass Pro Shops two years ago and love it for several reasons.

    It never blows out.
    It makes awesome frozen pizzas.
    It makes awesome hot wings.
It grills the regular stuff too but hot appetizers go great on the pontoon.
It is stainless steel so it won't rust.
I went to Menards and bought some stuff off the shelf to mount it.

It was expensive but what on a boat isn't?

Houseboat is easy. Just get a small normal grill and put it in a corner.

If you don't want to take up space go buy a tailgating gas grill and just mounting it with some strap iron and u bolts. Make the strap iron longer inside the railing so you can use a butcher block to attach to it to have a table attached to the grill to hold stuff. My description isn't the best and I will look for the picture that I stole my idea from.
