That video was put out this morning before Beebe's teleconference.

Re: Joe Schad Reports $32 million in departure fees

So assuming we get our piece of the $32 million, wouldn't that be enough to at least get the ball rolling on some major renovations to JTS, namely the south end zone project? The way I see it, that's a $3.2 million bonus that could be put to good use.

Yeah, that would be a great bonus. Word is that we will NOT get it though. We agreed to give it all to UT, OU, aTm.

I've been saying since yesterday we likely gave this up as part of financial concessions, but nobody wanted to acknowledge it. I fully expected to see little if anything out of the exit fees. If we see 500k you should be very happy.

Because they generate all the money. ESPN/ABC/Fox don't care about Iowa State. They wan't to be able to put Texas and Oklahoma on nationally because people watch. The only people that watch ISU games are ISU fans. So I can understand why they get more of the money.

Why A&M? How are they pulling so much weight in this whole deal? I know they bring in more money than ISU but it can't be anywhere near what Texas and OU bring in. I guess we should all be happy we have a conference but this still stinks if true.

Are you making a sarcastic joke, or is this a fact -- Beebe did say this? If he did, do you have a link, by chance?

I have to be on guard to protect myself from my gullibility, so I have to ask about this. As a fan, such an event as ISU not sharing equally in departure penalty funds might be the final straw. I don't know if I could swallow such a putrid development.

Kinda feel like we are the French Maid Hitler in this whole deal and UT and OU are the devil jamming a giant pineapple where the sun doesn't shine.

Dan Beebe and the teams that were going to be left out of a major conference sold their souls to Texas, OU, and A&M. Those 3 schools could have broken up the conference with a simple move, either Texas or OU going to the Pac10 or A&M to the SEC. If one of those would have left then the big 12 would have collapsed. Beebe was looking to save his job, so he listened to Texas's demands. Texas knew that they would have to provide equal amounts to OU, and were required to do the same for A&M in order to get them to stay. The remaining schools signed over their rights in order to keep the BCS conference.

    1. Doubt we get any of it.
    2. $3.2 million doesn't renovate ****. That's roughly 5% of the projection as to what's need for the endzone project.
