    Question on Dish Network??

Can you subscribe to Fox Sports on Dish Network?

Billing errors are getting a little old with DirecTV and I'd like to make a change, if I can get Fox Sports as I do now.

ss is correct. However, like DirecTv, they're not without the attempt to gouge your bill. You're probably trading frustrations.

Do you get Comcast Sports Net as your "regional" premium sports channel on either of them when you're in Ames?

    Re: Question on Dish Network??

I'm going around and around trying to sign-up on Dish. I'm asking if I can get the basic package along with all of the Fox Sports Networks. So far I'm hearing different things. One guy said yes- get the Top 100Plus. But then I was told this would get me only Fox Sports North because they give you one network based on your zip code. Told them I wanted them all (Midwest, SW, West, etc.).
Does anyone know if Dish will allow you to buy a base package and add the Fox networks as DirecTV does?

I've never had any billing issues with Dish Network. I never had any speedy success with their customer service people. Have you tried their website? I think you can check out the different packages there.

I have Dish and I think 1 Fox Sports Channel comes with most plans. For $5 more I get all the Fox Sports Nets and Comcast Chicago. When I originally signed up 9 years ago, FSN Chicago was the base for the Des Moines area. I prefer FSN North as I am a big Twins fan.

Keep in mind, most baseball is blocked out. I get the Twins and White Sox. Sometimes I get blocked out for St. Louis. All other teams are blocked out.

For college football, some is blocked out depending on the conference. Many of the FSNs will cover the same game. But, for example if the FSN you get with the lower package has a baseball game, you can always go to another FSN to see the college football game.

I have had billing issues with Dish in the past. With a couple of frustrating calls it was straightened out. My neighbor has had Directv, then Mediacom and then Directv over the last 18 months. He has had all kinds of billing issues, but has been persistant...sometimes for hours. I think he has paid for about 8 months of service for the last 18 months.

    Re: Question on Dish Network??

Bax, DN is saying that I get the basic package- 'plus' (100Plus) which includes Fox Sports North and then I can add the rest of the Fox Sports networks. The contract would be $19.95/mo. for the base (after 10 mo. goes to $29.95), $3/mo for the Plus, and $5/mo. for the rest of Fox Sports Network. $27.95/mo total.
Does this sound right? Thanks in advance.

No way it is 27.99. I have the basic directv package and it is now over $50 a month. Dish is pretty comparative for costs.
