I'll be extremely surprised (maybe even borderline shocked) if they don't accept an SEC offer.

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Thumbs up Re: A&M turns down Pac-10 invite

Kudos to aTm! Not that I've spent much time thinking about it, but A&M might be sick of playing second fiddle to Texas and ready to strike out on their own. Dodds might think everybody will march to Texas' beat - A&M is showing them otherwise. Regardless of where they end up, I like it...

Re: A&M turns down Pac-10 invite

So who is the Pac 10's next target? Utah or Kansas? Will Texas have second thoughts about joining the Pac 10 now that its biggest rival will not head West?

Re: A&M turns down Pac-10 invite

Im assuming its safe to assume that if A&M goes SEC, the big 12 is dead as well, even if texas wouldve otherwise gone for it with the new tv deal?

I was thinking about that earlier. What if Texas decides to stay but A&M still goes to the SEC.

Texas is going to do whatever brings them the most money and if that means leaving Texas A&M well they could always play them in a non-conference game.

That actually would work with a 9 team conference where we play everyone, but I don't know that it would happen.

You could still have a conference schedule, 8 games. Not losing a whole lot of tv market, since while yes, TAMU is right near houston, Texas has a ton of fans in that market as well....

Re: A&M turns down Pac-10 invite

If A&M went to the SEC, would they do 13 teams? Hopefully A&M is willing to at least listen to Beebee's new offer.
