    $100 - Let's get the ball rolling!!

Considering conversations I've had w/friends & fellow alums in regard to our 'irrelevance,' one of the major topics is how come our financial support is so low in regards to the number of Alums who actually donate. Lots of things are out of our control as far as population, location, etc are concerned but our ability to financially support our school is something we have complete control of! We can't expect a T. Boone Pickens to magically appear regularly & continue to increase our Athletic budget, so....

If you have never donated, scrounge up $100 or more (BTW - you can pay this quarterly). This would be HUGE in terms of both financial support as well as a sign that we really do support our school & athletic programs!

Times are tough, I get that but if you want to show all these BCS conferences who 'don't view State as a legitimate afterthought in terms of receiving an invitation' to join; maybe it's time for EVERY SINGLE ALUM who remembers & appreciates any memory of their time attending, supporting or discussing the athletic program to make a $100 donation to increase our budget.

I'm a teacher & it may surprise people to know this but I don't make a whole lot of money. However, I am still able to donate money, annually, to the Athletic Department (as well as charities & other organizations I have been or am currently involved in).

I'll say it again - $100!!!! That's a simple, easy & inexpensive way to show your support of all things STATE!!

This is a great idea. Please try to find the $8.33 in your monthly budget to allow for a $100 annual donation (or more!).

Money doesn't "magically" get donated... it takes YOU to make it happen!

    Check my sig below.....

i already donate plenty to ISU - both Cyclone club (captains) and the College of Business. If this mess resolves itself in a favorable outcome for ISU, then I can easily see myself upping my donation even more to help prevent this from happening to us again. Not until then though.

I would think this "situation" would help motivate fans who are donating nothing now to donate $100 a year. You get 10,000 people to do it and boom you have supplemented $1,000,000.00. I will start. I commit to donating an extra $100.00 this year.

I will start on the 15th.. paycheck..

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I wish I could give 300,000,000 credits as $300,000,000 because as a college student I don't have much to give

For you current college students, just support the school now by going to the games & when you graduate remember to give whatever you can, with an effort to increase your donations annually....It's for the greater good!

Man I hope this motivates all the non-donors to step up!

Fresh ISU grad here. Can people start donating money to the Cyclone Club to start racking up points without buying season tickets yet?

    Congratulations on graduating!

I'm not sure on that, I've lived in Florida since '02, so season tickets aren't a viable option for me. You'd have to check w/the Cyclone Club on the points question.

I know I give b/c it's the right thing to do to support your alma mater in one of many ways!

Hilton Coliseum was specifically built to hold in sound with a solid concrete structure, steel doors, and a crowd that sits just a few feet from the court. With a fan base that frequently ranks among the nations largest crowds, players from opposing teams, as well as Iowa State, have said that the floor has shaken due to the loudness of the crowd
