    New HD TV

After much appreciated advice from many of you we finally purchased a new TV. We ordered a LN46C650 46 in. 1080p 120 HZ Samsung from amazon, can't wait for it to get here. We would appreciate some more advice. I remember hearing here about purchasing the new cables for it and advice on what to buy as far as brand name and price, and best places to buy them, but can't remember the specifics? I gather there is quite a difference in prices and quality, and what brand names to look for? Also would you reccomend running it through a surge protector? and if so, what brands, model etc and places to look for the best one of those also. Any general information or tips on setting it up would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just their lack of HD channels, but they are adding more. You want the best direct tv is the way to go. I only lost service once so far and that was due to a system glitch that they fixed quickly and they sent me an email apologizing for the problem.

But either way that tv will look amazing once you get it cranked up.

I have two samsungs a 40 in the living room and a 20 in the bedroom both have great pictures and have had no problems in the past 2 years

Depends on location. Direct tv doesn't show abc, fox, and nbc in most southeast Iowa towns which suck. I love Mediacom HD. All 10 of my fave channels are in HD. No complaints here

Yeah, mediacom is getting to the point where its pretty rare that im watching a channel in standard def instead of hd. Also, for the channels mediacom has in hd, the quality tends to be higher than dish due to less compression on the feed.
