Question: If somehow it looks like the BXII will survive with 10 teams...

do you think that the B10/11/12 and Delaney offer Mizzou just to try and finish what they started in destroying the B12??

No, losing just Mizzou would not destroy the Big XII.

if we stay at 10, do they move a south team up to north division?

Only if ND goes and I think even then it's a long shot.

No, I think that B10/11/12 will look to the east (when the time comes): Rutgers, MD, and BC. Then either ND or Pitt to round it out. Reason: larger markets in NJ, Boston, and Balitmore/Washington.

Mizzou is not getting a BigTen invite anytime soon, and I think they now know not to trust JD or the BigTen

If the Big 12 somehow holds together (what a miracle that would be) with ten schools, there would be no divisions ... nine conference football games

Re: Question: If somehow it looks like the BXII will survive with 10 teams...

If (big IF) the remaining Big 12 schools stay together, then I think they should invite Houston and Tulane to the Big 12. Put Oklahoma and Okie St in the "North" and Houston and Tulane in the "South". That would introduce the Houston and New Orleans markets to any deal for a TV network (more house holds which = more money). Putting Ok and Ok St in the North puts a strong team in the North and sets up more battles with "traditional" Big 8 rivals.

Now, that is just thinking about $$ and households, but it would make the Big 12 much stronger for a TV deal. I have no idea how good or bad Houston or Tulane is academically, but I am not sure how much that matters anymore.

Why would the Big 10 do something just to screw the flaming remains that is the Big 12? If they don't want Mizzou, then they don't want them. If they do, they do.

I think we need to be trying to raid the SEC--pick off Arkansas or L.S.U.

He probably baited them. He reeled them in like a fish. Bait and switch. Played them like as fiddle.

great idea. lets put a little more texas influence to what they already almost have a monopoly on and then lets put a few more teams from texas or near texas in to take recruits from us.

So, what you are saying is that playing more conference football games - which will be televised locally - in one of our heaviest recruiting areas is a bad thing?

yes. We need two things: teams we can beat because winning records generate money and we need that and teams that don't hurt us recruiting wise...and any texas school we elevate to the BigXII would.
