    Suns/Spurs getting a little chippy

Did anybody else see Horry take out Nash yesterday? I have to admit I'm getting flat out sick of the Spurs in this series even though I have a friend who is an absolute diehard Spurs fan. I couldn't want the Suns to win this series any more. Between Duncan whining like crazy last season and the Spurs playing absolute hooligan ball I'd really like the Suns to sweep the last two games.

So far this series Nash has had his nose smashed, been kneed in the groin, and body checked into the boards. Sounds more like a hockey series for the Canadian.

I really hope the Suns win this series but it sounds like Amare might be out for leaving the bench to defend Nash.

That was total crap. The spurs and pistons play so freaking dirty! Horry needs to be suspended.

Re: Suns/Spurs getting a little chippy

If Amare is suspended (which I suspect he will be) I think it would be complete injustice to the game. Rewarding the spurs for the hip check (not to mention the elbow Horry threw at bell) by taking out one of the most important players the suns have is rediculous.

And another thing, if I have to watch Tony Parker flop to the ground after someone breaths on him or jump sideways into a guy one more time, I'm gonna lose it.

Someone has to do something to get people to tune into the NBA.

Last nights game was great. I love the NBA. If people love basketball they should really enjoy watching the NBA.

I agree crozier. It's about players, not stupid overrated and overhyped college coaches and their boring systems.

Playoff basketball is fantastic. Baron Davis last Friday night was spectacular. I was watching even tho the game was over.

Re: Suns/Spurs getting a little chippy

The Spurs flat out are a dirty team. They have been know to take their cheap shots, and to flop on little contact to try and draw fouls. While i think it totally sucks that Amare and Diaw will more than likley be serving a one game suspension, rules are rules, and they did break them. However, in my opinion Horry should be suspended for at least 3 games, not allowing him any role in the outcome on the rest of the series. It was a downright dirty shot at one of the most respectable players in the NBA in Steve Nash. The bad thing is, the Suns will miss Amare and Diaw more for just one game than the Spurs would miss Horry for the rest of the series.

Agreed. The Spurs will lose a player who averages 7 points a game while the Suns lose two of their top players. It's a good trade for San Antonio. If the suns had gotten involved in the incident, it's a totally different issue, but theres something wrong about Horry, Diaw, and Amare all getting the same punishment. He attempted to injur two players while got out of their chairs. Equal crimes?

Re: Suns/Spurs getting a little chippy

These Spurs aren't half as bad as the "bad boy" pistons of the 80's/early 90's. Those pieces of -you know what- didn't deserve to take the court. Call them dirty, but the Spurs aren't even in the same discussion. It's been a physical series both ways, the Spurs have just had a harder time containing themselves. They've played solid defense all season and these recent hard fouls are out of frustration that they're occasionally getting run out of their own gym.
