EUGENE, Ore. The sun finally came out in force at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Saturday and its light shown on Iowa State's eighth-place finish in the women's division, the best finish in school history. The Cyclones' previous best NCAA outdoor finish was 14th in 1984. Texas A&M won the women's team title with 72 points. Oregon (57), Florida (40), Penn State (34), Virginia Tech (33), LSU (31), UTEP (29), ISU (28) and Southern Illinois and Oklahoma (26) rounded out the top ten.
