    BF rules

    I love his twitter:

    Bill Fennelly (ISUCoachFen) on Twitter

This conference alignment may have us fans upset, but just think of the emotional roller coaster our coaches and players must be living. His tweet about sitting alone in Hilton reflecting on the memories....You know, I don't care what anyone else says, BF is a stand up guy, and I am glad he is our coach.

Trying to think positive, just think if ISU went to the Big East. Now that would be one power WBB conference! and I for one think it would be very exciting for us play UConn, Marquette, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Rutgers, Pitt. New rivalries, and from the Big 12, BF is such buds with Coale and Blair, that maybe we could see those rivalries continue as non-cons. Maybe even, cough, Baylor. Could care less if we ever play Texas/TT/OSU again.

This tweet from BF says it all, I wonder of who he speaks?

My dad always taught me to be honest-have respect for others-if you do that you can sleep well--there will be many who should NOT sleep well

I was actually just saying that this morning, don't get me wrong, I like the AD we have now but if something were to change in the future I could see BF becoming the AD and I think he'd do a great job

    Re: BF rules

I agree BF would make a good AD, he is a great representative of ISU in any capacity. I hope he's got a good decade or so of coaching left in him though. I don't think he will ever leave ISU, even if we get stuck in CUSA or the MAC. I also don't think WBB attendance would suffer much at all in that situation, compared to MBB or FB.

He has a lifetime contract, he just added his son to his staff, all their family is located in Iowa. With his connections, he can still schedule top notch teams to play ISU.

IF ISU WBB/BF wants to play a top notch team, even in non-con, I don't think scheduling would be a problem, unless we hit the Mac, we could survive the MWC I believe, there a few schools there that have enough clout-Utah, SDS, and with ISU, KSU, KU, Baylor, and Mizzery, it would be a very healthy WBB conference.

The top women's programs do not shy away from scheduling any takers. That's one of the reasons I really like the sport. Geno, Pat, Sherri, Mulkey, Balcomb, Vivian, Blair all want to play the top teams without hesitation every year to prove their salt. I think our B10 rivalries will continue as well.

This program will survive well no matter what happens, unless God forbid - MAC. Not so sure about Volleyball and Wrestling - which has me sad.

Neither the Big East nor the MWC will give us close to the conference revenue we realized from the Big 12, and with reduced $$ coming in, there is no way we will continue to operate the women's bb program at the current level.
Also, I doubt that our former rivals - OU, Texas, Neb, A&M - will play us home and home. Yes, they all want to play big non-conf. games, but only if it gets them on TV.
If the Big 12 somehow stays together, then yes, the program can survive close to its current level. If not, no way.
