Hopefully the fact that we may not have a conference won't hurt us in that regard, but I have a feeling it might.

By the time all the conference stuff pans out, they will be graduated, so it wouldn't matter much.

Good for them - they don't deserve the **** storm that has struck.

Can we afford to pay them as much as USC is?

Don't worry about them, Slick Rick down the road at UCLA is more than willing to pay them.

Maybe, maybe not. If they are juniors and seniors that had to be recruited close to when Reggie Bush was there and the fiasco was still big. Personally I wouldn't have signed there because of that. Just like if I was a top basketball player now, there is no way I'd go to Kentucky because of what could come down in 3-4 years.

This is really going to hurt the USC program. Do you think Kiffin can bring them back from the depths?

The Bowl ban will kill recruiting for the next 2 years, and allowing the Jr/Sr's to leave will kill this year and next.
It will be interesting to see if they can pay enough players to compete again in 3-4 years.

Jon Miller was talking about this happening on Tuesday, I believe. USC is officially ****ed!

    GOOD FOR THEM!

True but a lot of the top basketball players going to Kentucky are only going to be there for 1 or 2 years before going pro anyway.

Am I the only one that thinks this is BS? The school and players knew 2 years ago that the NCAA was investigating, yet they chose to stay and hope for the best. If this happened to a school outside of the top 20 I doubt they would get this kind of preferential treatment

Well... they can come to Iowa State if they want to wear the same colors!

I disagree because it isn't the current USC players that are a buncha scum ball grease bags. Its rotten *** clowns like Reggie Bush and It is the athletic program. The current players should be allowed to leave. Plus allowing them to leave serves as additional punishment to the University for being a bunch of ethic-less good for nothing dirt balls.

I can see your argument too, but I feel worse for the Freshman and Sophomores that don't get the same deal - they're the ones this really impacts. The Seniors and Juniors have at least played in a bowl game.
