Mushrooms In My Lawn - Suggestions?

I have noticed mushrooms growing in my lawn in the past week. My lawn is pretty thick, healthy and my yard has only a couple of small trees which don't do much for shade.

This past week I have noticed about 6 or so small clumps of mushrooms (6 or 7 in a clump). Should I just mow over them? Should I buy a product to get rid of them? Should I even be concerned? I can't see them until I walk near them. I can't recall seeing so many mushrooms in my yard previously.

    Any advice/suggestions is/are appreciated!

I usually mow them over. Have a tree or bush there at one point? Eventually they will stop when the rot finishes its process.

same here, but i have a 75% shaded yard with thick grass. is it too much moisture in the ground?

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than selfish and worry about my liver."

I wouldn't even consider that...not even with the mushrooms that so many of my friends say are sooooo tasty! (not even the "magic" ones either)

Give it a few weeks till all this rain is over, they will go away.

Just knock them over with your feet. I have always been told that the little cap mushrooms is a sign of a healthy lawn. Don't know if it's true or not but they aren't doing any harm.

Yeah they cannot survive unless it is very damp out. Once the heat of summer hits they will go away.

That is the type of advice I was hoping for! Thanks...don't want to spend time picking them out of the grass!

I get mushrooms in my yard whenever we get lots of rain. They go away as soon as things dry up.

Again, thanks for the advice! I won't spend too much time being concerned about it...
