    Players thanking God

Does anyone get annoyed when pretty much every professional athlete thanks God when they give a post-game interview? I don't know, maybe its because I'm not very religious but I get very annoyed with that.

    Re: Players thanking God

I am sort of religous and I hate when they thank him for helping them win. I am sure God isn't cheering for one team or the other to win a game.

Not nearly as annoying as people who rant about people thanking god after sporting events.

Blackhawks haven't. May be time to watch more hockey.

    Re: Players thanking God

I don't see anything wrong with it. Thanking god for giving you the abilities to succeed in life. Whether it be athletics or anything else.

I think many people percieve it as the players thanking God for letting their team win or something like that, which I believe is entirely wrong and off.

I agree I like it when players thank God as long as their sincere.

It does cheapen it in a way, but I guess I wouldn't criticize anyone for doing that unless I knew that they were a complete ******* of a person in the way they conduct themselves.

And yes, it is getting clammy in here, so we must be getting close to the cave.

    Unless that team is ISU.

I think a good example of this is Colt Mccoy after he gift his shoulder. You should thank God regardless of whether you win or lose.

    Re: Players thanking God

The only problem is when it comes off insincere, or when they insinuate that God wanted their team to win as opposed to the other team. Whatever God is, I don't think he really gives a damn who wins a football game, you know?

People as arrogant as Nate Robinson... who talk trash ever every single made basket have no place in thanking God... but that is my opinion I guess.
