    Professional sports in college

With the amount of money that is being made off college athletes, how long until they start getting paid? With the way the NCAA is being controlled by money it might as well be considered a professional sports league. They should quit kidding themselves and just allow players to be paid, that seems to be the next step anyway, so why delay it.

What gets me is that winning doesn't even seem to be that important, just money. Why would Pac 10 schools vote in Texas, Oklahoma and the others if they were concerned about winning? Playing those two are guaranteed losses for every Pac 10 team except USC. The Pac 10 teams will all win less games if they expand. But I guess that extra couple million a year from TV revenue will help their football programs win....less? Isn't the point of having a bigger budget to help you win more?

To me, they are getting paid. That money is just being directly deposited to pay their tuition, books and living.

That this is all "non-profit" is ridiculous.

And just think all of the conferences, universities, and athletic departments are non-profit, tax-exempt, charities. Ironic isn't it?
