Thanks for summing it all up. Does it mean we can now close the 692 threads on this since we know what it's all about?

I don't see anything in what Nebraska is doing as a big "get even" to Texas. This is Nebraska doing what they think is best for their program/school. But Nebraska is screwing over schools they have had 100 + year relationships with, which is unforgivable. At least Texas is making some kind of effort to bring it's traditional rivals along with it to the PAC 10. Nebraska could not care less about it's traditional conference rivals.

Texas does not need to work hard to make Nebraska look bad - they are doing a fine job on their own

Nebraska is just running with their tail between their legs since we beat them in Football, Basketball (twice), and Wrestling last year. I'd leave to in the face of domination by Iowa State.

    This is not reality.

    Not sure about that.
Each school would decide for themselves, but ISU might enjoy being in a separate conference than UI.

Why is the old Big 8 at such odds? I can see OU and OSU being Texas-ified, but the rest of us are ready to run, ASAP... I had finally gotten to the point where I cheered for our conference, in this order: ISU, outcome that would benefit ISU most, North divison, then the Big 12 in non-conference/bowls. Ugh, back to the drawing board...

Do I have to cheer for Nebraska in the big10 now? I am so conflicted.

I think we'd enjoy a piece of that shared revenue even more.

Cheer for Northwestern to beat Iowa and Nebraska both. That's my plan.
