    Hawkeye fan supporting Cyclones

I know stating on a message board that you support someone or something is fairly empty, but I do want to state "WE" are pulling for you. I believe most Hawkeye fans out there don't want to see ISU left out of the realignment. As a fan who loves the state and this rivalry I will admit I don't mind seeing an 0-11 season out of the cyclones every now and then but not this. It makes me sad.

I no longer live in the state so don't get as much feedback as some but the iowa fans and fellow grads i've talked to this week and it's been mainly my family of hawk fans and each and every one had the same sentiment, "I would hate to see what's happening to isu". I hope this is the feeling across most of hawkeye nation.

Most of us see this entirely due to circumstance and not a reflection of athletic teams, academics, fan support, not even just money. ISU would be on the far western edge of big 10, sec, acc or the far east of the pac 10. Iowa and ISU are a very odd pairing of 2 major athletic programs from a small state that have always been in different conferences thus they can't do much to aid each other or go as a package (not that it would work, see Kansas) or bring even the entire small state TV market with them, everything in Iowa is divided in 2.

I am sure their are the internet flamers who come around acting as internet flamers do but I'd like to point out that most of who post on internet message boards regarding rivalries are the extreme hateful 1% of all fan bases and don't represent the state as a whole.

May not be exactly what the big10 wants, but what would that do for the STATE of Iowa.
