Re: World-Herald Articles from Big XII Meetings

It seems like the conference's ADs are all over the place. What a mess.

Wow - Lew Perkins sure sounds a lot more concerned about the future than Jamie Pollard apparently is.

Lew did say, “I've got to get refocused". I'm sure the stress from the other issues is getting to him. His athletic department is a mess, and stuff is finally bubbling over faster than Lew can contain it all. Should something go wrong with the Big 12, I would suspect that scandal ridden athletic departments don't make for good expansion candidates...

Being scandal ridden did not seem to hurt the big schools in the old Southwest Conference, now did it?

If you're talking about Baylor, they haven't really prospered in the Big12 as far as football is concerned; basketball is another story. The other "scandal ridden" schools were not invited to join; aka SMU and TCU. aTm, UT, and TT were the schools trying to adhere to the rules in an unfair environment and their football programs were either average, or above average, but not dominant.

Excuse me. Lew Perkins has about 1/10th the brain power as Jamie Pollard. Lew is fly by the seat of your pants.
