    ISU Starting lineup next fall

First off i am a hawkeye fan with my first post here so please be nice. Ha. Well you can be mean if you want cause i can take it. My roomate is a huge Cyclone fan.

Anyway I am here to find out who the projected starters next year will be for the cyclones at each weight. My hawkeyes lost a ton of great seniors this year and will be hurting a bit next year. Did Nick Gallick get another year?

My projected lineup next year for Iowa and projected AA

    !25- Tony Ramos low AA
    133- Matt Mcd high AA
    141- Nate Moore low AA
    149- Dylan Carew qualifier
157- Derek St John qualifier/low AA
    165- Jake Kerr qualifier
    174- Ethen Lofthouse high AA
    184- Grant Gambrall low AA
    197- Luke Lofthouse qualifier
    Hvy- Blake Rasing qualifier

Well none of this is set in stone so its just a fun guess.

For the record i believe Jon Reader will be a finalist. And also i have really liked what i have seen out of Spangler in the off season. The Gadsen kid from Waterloo should be a great one down the line aswell. Thanks in advance for your in put.

    http://www.cyclonefanatic.com/forum/...rs-lineup.html

this from awhile back. not having beard obviously changes things, as well as valles leaving last year. not sure if fitch is good enough to crack the lineup as a true freshman? then long if he can keep his nose clean, gallick hasn't been ruled on yet but i fully expect him to NOT be back next year as i heard he might not even try for the med RS so probably jensen here, weatherman next, sorenson, reader, spangler, schaefer?, ward, and hopefully thompsen.

    a lot up for grabs.

    125 - Long/Finch/Dearden
    133 - Long/Cash
    141 - Jensen
    149 - Gallick(if he gets a med)/Weatherman
    157 - Sorenson/Weatherman/Carr
    164 - Sorenson/Carr/Lewis
    174 - Reader/Spangler
    184 - Spangler/Ward/Lewis - I was hoping for Beard but hes gone
    197 - Ward/Simonson
HWT - Thompson/ Some juco guy coming in.

Lots a question marks, time to see if KJ can develope these young bucks.

I think that Finch kid could start right away at 125 while long is suspended or even if he moves up a weight.

Joe was a senior last year. I gave up hope for Joey about this time last year. I know Montel was our starter but Joey was a better wrestler. It sucks losing a returning finalist in Montel but i think the University made the right choice in letting him go. Hope fully Long can turn it around for Mr Jackson. Long is a great talent with a great future in wrestling. It cant be easy keeping your nose clean in college though.

Yes the meet this year should be close. i notice ISU lost some great seniors aswell.
But i still think both teams are top ten material.

    Gallick is done.

Reader as a finalist is pretty bold. He hasn't earned that kind of praise. That's not all his fault though.

My Iowa connection is incredibly dialed in and he says McD will be at 125 for at least one more year.

Both teams are no where near settled on a lineup so it's tough to say which team will win a dual. My gut doesn't give a rosy prediction for the Cyclones, however.
