First KU, then Mich., now UConn?

Found this story on my my.yahoo.com homepage:

NCAA: 8 violations in UConn men's basketball - Yahoo! News

Looks like Coach Calhoun is in trouble. I don't think the NCAA views UConn like it views KU, USC, Notre Dame, et. al. These violations may result in some major penalties for the UConn MBB program.

you should just list every program in the top 10 at least for the last 20 years... while your at it... mark down lance, albert puljos, and brett favre, ray lewis to the hgh or other new age drug users...

Do i think all these athletes would all still be the best if everyone was clean? Yes! if everyone is using and lance wins 7 in a row, hes the best.
OOOKaaay, what's this response all about? Hey, UConn got caught, now they're in trouble. This stuff about listing the top 10 for the last 20 years, Lance Armstrong, Pujols, Favre, Lewis, etc., is really not relevant to the subject line. Why you responded this way "does not compute."

I remember Tim Floyd saying, years ago, about staying competitive in recruiting, you have to play around in the grey areas of the rules almost constantly. At least he was honest about it unlike some programs that claim they "stay in the white" and do things the "right way." Looks like UConn went too far and ran afoul of the NCAA. Too bad for them (snicker, snicker).

Now if they can just drag Geno into it, too!

"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr

I wonder if Chris will write a blog soon about the current scandals going on and his take on how they might affect the college sports universe?
