    Waterloo Tailgate Tour

Who's going? I went last year and plan to go tonight with my brother.

Anyone know what time the speeches are? Last year I arrived wayyy before any action happened.

I am going and went last year too. Can not beat it getting Cyclones in Iowa country up here. I love talking to our coaches, and last year I got my picture published in the Courier shaking Rhoad's hand

    Re: Waterloo Tailgate Tour

I'm driving from Des Moines to go to it. The wife works for Iowa State University Extension....her department will be there this evening....thus, I will be in attendance. Is it supposed to rain today?

I am looking forward to it though! Go Cyclones!

I plan on going. I hope it is not raining. They have alot of neat things for the kids to play on. It is always a very good time at the Waterloo tailgate tour.

    Re: Waterloo Tailgate Tour

We had great crowd tonight. I got a chance to vist with coach Rhoads and told him the Nebraska game last year was one of my favorite ever. He simply smiled and said in his loud voice "I agree!". Also got to visit just a little with Fred Hoiberg(man both those guys are tall).

One of the cooler things was having Fred and Bill Fennely on the stage. The crowd gave Fred a standing ovation and Fred got on the Microphone and told the crowd Bill Fennely should be getting the standing ovation and let's give it to him now and everyone went nuts.

I really like the fact kids come to these events. It's so much more family friendly than it used to be when we had golf tournements. They get the kids up in front of the crowd and the cheer and it's just really fun to watch.

Fun night and the crowds just seem to get bigger every year.

I remember going once when I was a wee little kid and seeing Johnny Orr and a whole bunch of tall guys. Now I am a die hard Cyclone fan.......coincidence?
