Apparently Utah plays Iowa this year as well. Holy Crap how fricken hard is it to edit this material. I mean this is a "highly regarded" CFB site and they refer to ISU as Iowa.

On a positive note they compliment the talented backfield. I just hope they knew they were talking about AA and AROB and not Ricky and IA's backs.

“It’s beyond pride. It’s a restored trust. There’s a confidence again, a passion that teeters on swagger. More than anything, (Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads) has restored the Iowa State “it” factor, the steadfast belief that it is great to be a Cyclone...the man’s enthusiasm is genuine to the core...”

They actually have these kind of spelling/name mistakes ALL of the time. It's like they move to put SO much material out there that they overlook very easy items. But yeah, stupid things like that take away credibility. But their reviews and player evaluations are what we're looking at here.

I didnt meant to take away from the thread. Its a great way to learn a little about each of ISU's opponents and have something to talk about. Thanks for posting

    Sorry I blew up

Just ran across another preview. This one from Wide Right & Natty Light.

WRNL looks at the 2010 ISU Football Season, Part 1: Northern Illinois Wide Right & Natty Light

Pretty damn funny actually. It may not be on the level as Scout but it definitely plays.

My favorite part was the ripping of their mascot:
When he isn’t busy humping lamp shades, you can probably find him barfing up upholstery behind the bushes. My guess is that he would be easily repelled with a rolled newspaper and a stern tone of voice.

6-6 would be HUGE for ISU considering their schedule. I think they can do it, but I wouldn't count on it. I think 5-7 is a little more likely.

ISU's schedule, when I look at it, has 3 likely wins (Northern Illinois, though it could be more tricky than you would think, UNI, and Colorado) and 9 games that are tossups or worse. Kansas might be a likely win also, so I suppose there might be 4 likely wins, but ISU regularly chokes one they shouldn't (Iowa is guilty of this as well), so I'll stick with 3 "likely" wins.

I think ISU finishes 5-7, but if they finish any better than that, it would be a phenomenal sign that Paul Rhoads has the program on the rise.

What is so "phenomenal" about it?
