    Rays 10 Yankees 6

Yankee Stadium was 9/10 empty by the end of the game. Yeah, the Yankees were down 10-2 at the beginning of the 9th inning, but I don't feel sorry for anyone that chooses to leave a game early and not stick around to see how it ends.

Some Yankee faithful out there, huh?

Every stadium in baseball would be just as empty in that situation.

No argument there. But this is the Yankees. So they get picked on.

Yanks are pretty beat up. Ray's won't play like they have for the rest of the season.

    exactly

“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.”

"I hope to coach here until I retire," Hoiberg said.

My God, what do you say to all the basketball fans that leave with 4 minutes to go?

And funny, a Twins fan talking trash. You're up to what, 1-483 against the Yankees since Gardy took over?

The impressive thing about the Rays so far is that they are playing in a division with 4 good teams and winning with that unbalanced schedule. The Twins have a good team but they play their unbalanced schedule in a division of two teams with winning records. These schedules suck especially when you think about the wildcard race.

Same thing was said in 2008 & they wound up in the World Series; let's see how the rest of the season plays out but I'm really enjoying what they've put together & know Madden keeps the team grounded & focused....great team chemistry & plenty of no-name guys playing their role perfectly for TB. I hope it continues but you know the Yanks & Sox will both gain ground, as will the Jays. Just a tough division top to bottom.

The only people who don't know the Rays players' names are those who don't watch much baseball. They have a team absolutely FULL of all stars.

I don't know if the Sox will gain ground or not. Their pitching has sucked beyond anything anyone expected and I don't think Jacoby coming back is going to help their offense as much as it needs. The Jays, like normal, will fall off this summer. Yankees and Rays might both end up with 100+ wins. They said last night the franchise record for wins by a pitcher for the Rays is 14...bet that goes down a couple times this year.

Rays 105-57 to win the East
Yankees 103-59 to take the Wildcard

If that happens, there's your ALCS too.

Jeremy Hellickson (DM Hoover) has been pitching great for the Rays AAA team so far this year - 6-2, 3.24 ERA, 55 K's and 11 walks in 50 innings. Their starting pitching has been so good that there's no spot for him right now on the Rays.

And what information are you basing this opinion on? They have arguably the best starting pitching staff in baseball and have absolutely the most athletic team in baseball. Their run differential of +95 already is just insane. Teams will finish with a run differential under 100 and make the playoffs.

I really, as do other Yankee fans, do not understand your need to come on here and bash the Yankees and their fan base. We don't bash the twins or other teams on here, so why all the hate? Perhaps you should have picked a more successful team to cheer for.

Some of us don't pick teams based on how successful they are. After all, we are Cyclone fans...
