    Mouth of the Midwest/ Marketing

    I always wonder why 1700 has a Joseph's Jewelers commercial with the baffoon Marty pushing valuable "time pieces" like Rolex and Tag Hoyer brand?!?! Do they really think even a sliver of the market that listens to that joke of a show is sophisicated enough to be in the market for luxury items like that?? It seems like he would have a slightly less educated, non-rolex wearing listening crowd (like myself, so don't be offended).

    Point is- Marty is the last person I would appeal to that market with!!

    Marty only has to sell the ad, not the product. I believe he is one of the best at that. How else does a talentless blowhard like him keep getting radio jobs?
